What are the odd numbers for Hollywood Bowl seats? ›

Note that bench seats numbers in sections are grouped even (2, 4, 6, etc) and odd (1, 3, 5, etc). So if you have seats 4 and 6 they are next to each other. Click to get the larger version. Here is a list of six-person boxes at the Hollywood Bowl.

The Hollywood Bowl Super Seats are known as the preferred section within the Hollywood Bowl because they are limited to only three sections in the central area of the amphitheater and are arranged in stadium-seating style for the lucky patrons who are able to reserve them.

Other than the few seats that have an obstructed view, section E at the Hollywood Bowl is a very nice lower cost alternative to box seats. They are as close as the Terrace Boxes… just more stage left. They are bench seats but still very close to the main stage.

It's important to note that the Hollywood Bowl seat numbers are not consecutive. Rather, they're broken up between even-numbered seats and odd-numbered seats. So don't panic when you receive your seats and they aren't consecutive seat numbers, because they are together.

The majority of the seats in the bowl, in sections E through X2, are Bench Seats that start right next to the Terrace boxes and go all the way to the back of the theater.

Chuck on some comfy jeans, a nice t-shirt and you're ready to go. Don't stress on footwear either, because you can wear your own - so long as they're flat, soled and closed toe shoes!

We have a casual dress code. Wear whatever's comfortable (but no bare feet, please!) It can get chilly later in the evening - bring a blanket or an extra jacket.

You're welcome to bring your own food to the Bowl. All containers, picnic baskets, and coolers must be able to fit under your seats or within your box. Containers, picnic baskets, and coolers measuring more than 15 inches wide, 15 inches high, or 22 inches long are not permitted past the ticket gates.

The sound quality was great, the view outstanding and the whole history and feel of the place was really very cool! Now, a note to the 'uninitiated'... Prices are high, but for the experience it is probably worth it - once. If buying tickets online (as I did), you may get an amazing seat BUT be forewarned.

What does pool circle mean at Hollywood Bowl? ›

It's become ingrained in Hollywood Bowl lore, but the iconic reflecting pool was there for fewer than 20 of the Bowl's 100 summers—between 1953 and 1972. Fifty years later, we still call the semi-circle seating area immediately in front of the stage “The Pool Circle.”

All seat numbers run from right to left when facing the stage. The lowest seat number will be on the right, while the highest seat number will be to the left.

Often time venues such as performing arts centers use a standard seating arrangement wherein all seats on one side of the theater are odd numbers (ex. 1-3-5-7-9) and the other side are even (ex. 0-2-4-6-8).

The theme is that zero, seven and three are the best digits. Four is a solid fourth-best number. One has some value as a good final score chance, but isn't very likely in the first half.

Seat Numbering

All seating sections are numbered beginning on the south side of the arena and continuing in a clockwise direction. Viewed from the floor, seats are numbered across the row from left to right, beginning with 1.
